Grandview School Reviews

My children transferred to Grandview almost 4 years ago. We are sad about the changes. The best thing about Grandview is the staff and the teachers. They seem to love their jobs and get along with eachother. The tension in the staff is minimal, which helps the stress level in the kids to be lower. I really like the social skills that they teach (Grizzly Pride). Grandview allows a lot of parent involvement if you want. At times we have had 'problems' and the teachers and staff have been very good about working them out, instead of ignoring them. Hands down, to do it all over again, we would go back to Grandview!

Grandview takes in a broad spectrum of students and is able to bring them together into one school community. It has the feeling of a small school where everyone knows and cares for everyone else. My children love Grandview.

My children have each gone to Grandview, my last one is now in 6th grade. It has been a wonderful experience. The teachers are very supportive to you and of each other. The parent involvement is huge. I have been on the PTA at Grandview, Dixon, PHS, and Council levels; Grandview has alot of great programs and great parent support. I love the feel of the school. It is a happy, welcoming place to be. I know I can turn to faculty, staff, or PTA for help and support with any problems my child is dealing with. I strongly recommend this school.

I used to attend Grandview Elementary School. While I was there, I had a wonderful time. In fact, I think some of my best memories go back to this school. From the 50th anniversary celebration, to singing in elderly homes, there has never been a bad moment. The teachers are excellent as well. In fourth grade, I remember having so much fun while participating in a pioneer trail game. My classmates and I looked forward to that every day. That was, however, only one of many fun activites teachers encouraged. We did these activities through every other grade level as well. As far as extracurricular activities, I was never involved in many, but I did participate in the singing group. We had a great time learning christmas songs and performing. In the second semester, we participated in the Hope of America program. All in all, this is a great school!
