American Leadership Academy Reviews

ALA has been a blessing for our family. Taking my children out of Nebo School District has been my best move as a parent. ALA gives students the opportunity to be individuals and pursue ideas other than sports. It is however not without it's faults...orginization seems to be their biggest weakness and my biggest dissapointment has been that past the elementary grades they no longer offer Saxon Math. Overall I think very highly of ALA and am confident that my children are getting the best education possible in our area.

I attended American Leadership Academy for two years and I think that it is an excellent school. Although the classes may be a little bit too full sometimes, it is overall a very good school. It's filled with great students and teachers who are amazing! The downside is that our football team has lost homecoming game three years in a row....

I love American Leadership Academy. I love the fact that they have school uniforms and encourage the kids to look and act responsible and professional. The Special Education Department is fantastic.

My children have been attending this school since it first opened. This school is great. They are aware that children all learn differently and are willing to try new and innovative programs to help all the children learn. For instance, they now have three different areas the kids and parents can choose to emphasize in. Children who learn through music and art can choose to take core classes with an emphasis in those areas. They are doing the same with a sports/medicince emphasis. Of course they have a rigorous classical route for those who don't have those interests. I am amazed at how well the school responds to the needs of the student. It is a small school, so my children know almost everyone, students, teachers and administrators and they know my children. I am very pleased with this school.

The school is average. It is no better than any Nebo School District school. My student has attended this school for three years now and will not be returning. The school's standards are normal. The school atmosphere is very controlling. My student is advanced and the school has not met her needs.

This school has high standards and they go the extra mile to find programs that work best for the individual needs of the students. Not every need is met by they continually make the effort. The standard of education is much better than the basic requirements of the local public schools.

My child had two teachers for two consecutive years that had no control of the classroom, hurting his chances of starting off his education on the right foot. Since returning to regular public school, he has jumped 4 reading levels in 5 months.

We are fairly new to American Leadership Academy, so we hope to see improvements with the school. The test results (CRT) are well below the state average in two categories, which concerns us. We have had good experiences with the teacher that our child has and with the administration...very nice and open to suggestions, but we want to see better academic results overall. We hope that that will happen soon.

The school is a fabulous choice if you are disheartened as many are with the Nebo School District schools. Our test results speak for themselves!! Come join us. We are awesome!

I go to American Leadership Academy, (8th grade) and really enjoy it. The school is not gigantic, so you don't get lost and almost all the teachers know you, there is a wide array of music programs (such as ones you wouldn't expect for such a school, like several large bands, choirs, and orchestras of very good degree, run by excellent teachers) and many sports and after-school activities, the parents are more willing to help because they chose to come to the school. The school has very little graffiti, lots of friendly people, and the teachers are wonderful.
