The teachers there are amazing, and Mrs. Hart the principal, recieves a A+++++++++!!!! She has taught us how to dream big, and I hope she stays as principal for many years to come.” Posted By: parent Quality Score: 5 2006-11-19 “I have had 10 children attend Cherry Hill Elementary so far. Four of them have been in the ALL program. My experience has been very positive. The respect for authority of the kids at Cherry Hill exceeds what I have seen at other schools. The difference is apparent as the kids go on to junior high. My four kids who have graduated from high school all graduated with a significant number of advanced placement credits. I have found that the teaching at Cherry Hill prepared them to enter and be successful in the advanced placement classes in high school. My daughter recently graduated from college and is how teaching Junior High. She mentioned that many times in college other students would ask her how she knew so much. Many of the things the students were referring to were things she learned as a student at Cherry Hill.” Posted By: parent Quality Score: 5 2006-10-23 “My child is in first grade at cherry hill and I think that the teachers and staff there do a wonderful job. I volunteer in her class and the teacher does a great job of controlling the class. Her kindergarten teacher last year was one of the best teachers I have ever seen. I also have a daughter who goes there and now she is in the third grade. My two older children a boy and a girl went there too. I would say Cherry Hill is an excellent school. I can't complain about anything in that school. The teachers are excellent and the staff is excellent too. i don't agree with the first person who says that the teachers don't care about the students. They do care. It all depends on how well you educate your children at home also. My children never had any problems at the school, the teachers never complained about them. My child is in the A.L.L. program at Cherry Hill. Her 6th grade experience will stand out as the point at which she began to make a personal investment in her academic career. My child goes to this school only for A.L.L. I have no opinion on the rest of the faculty. I've not had the best experiences with the principal, although I'm certain she cares very much for those students in her boundaries. I've been very involved in my elementary school for more than 10 years. If you don't like things, get involved. Let the teachers and principal know that you care and that you are watching. Don't stand to the side and complain--that's too easy. Everyone can do something constructive. At the very least, demand respectful and responsible behavior from your child.” Posted By: parent Quality Score: 1 2005-02-25 “This school, along with the entire Alpine school distict, does nothing for the students who excel. The only thing offered is A.L.L. for a small number of 5th and 6th graders. At Cherry Hill there is absolutely no discipline for terribly behaved children. Children can beat up other kids, disrupt the classroom, or do anything they please without any consequence. The majority of teachers are BORING. the above-average students are expected to just sit silently after completing their work, and the teachers can't be bothered with providing them with anything else to do while they wait for the other students to complete their work. The entire class is taught to the lowest common denominator instead of getting extra help or tutoring for the slowest/most challenged students.”
